you are in the right place...
Birth can feel like a daunting prospect. We hear plenty of difficult birth stories, often long before we ever start thinking about having a baby ourselves, so it is hardly surprising if you are feeling anxious or unsure about what to expect. Perhaps you are worried about giving birth. Perhaps you simply want to understand what happens during labour and how you can prepare for it. Or you may have given birth before and want things to feel different this time. Good birth preparation is not about promising you a particular type of birth. It is about understanding your body, your options and the decisions you may face, and having practical tools to help you feel calmer and more confident as you approach the birth of your baby. That is exactly what my courses are designed to do.

'I’ve been terrified of birth myself.
After a chaotic and ill-informed first labour which I approached from an

angle, I began to learn from others that there was a better way.'

what you need to know
SO, WHAT ACTUALLY IS HYPNOBIRTHING?
Practising hypnobirthing during pregnancy and using the techniques during labour can help reduce fear and tension, support the natural physiology of birth and help you feel calmer, more comfortable and more in control.
IS THIS JUST ABOUT HAVING A ‘NATURAL’ BIRTH?
Journeys can be re-routed, and sometimes induction, pain relief, assisted birth or Caesarean birth will be the right choice for you and your baby. Good preparation helps you understand your options, ask questions and make informed decisions, whatever path your birth takes.
WHAT WILL I ACTUALLY LEARN?
Alongside the hypnobirthing techniques, we look at what happens during labour, how to create an environment that supports birth, your choices and options, common interventions, decision-making and how your birth partner can genuinely help. The aim is not to teach you how to have a ‘perfect’ birth. It is to help you go into it understanding more, fearing less and feeling properly prepared.
WHAT ABOUT MY BIRTH PARTNER?
Birth partners are very much part of the course. We look at practical ways they can support you during labour, help create and protect your birth environment, understand what is happening and support you when decisions need to be made. It gives them a role and helps you approach birth feeling like a team.
WHICH COURSE IS RIGHT FOR ME?
There is no single right way to prepare for birth, so I offer different levels of support depending on what you need, how much time you have and whether you would prefer to learn privately or as part of a small group. From comprehensive antenatal and hypnobirthing courses to more focused birth preparation, we can find the right option for you.
WHEN SHOULD I START?
Most people take a hypnobirthing course during their second or third trimester, giving you plenty of time to practise the techniques before your baby arrives. But there really is no point at which you have ‘left it too late’. If your due date is approaching, get in touch and we can look at what will be most useful in the time you have.
WHAT ARE MY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE?
I trained with KGHypnobirthing, gaining my DipHb(KGH) in 2019. Since then I have taught and supported hundreds of couples during thier pregnancies, helping them achieve calm, positive and empowering birth experiences, however they choose to give birth. In 2022 I completed my training as a 3-Step Rewind Practitioner with the Rewind Consortium and now regularly work with both mothers and fathers using this process to help them move on from triggering feelings left by past experiences such as traumatic birth or injury.
WHERE I WORK?
I work in-person and online. I am located in Bentworth between Alresford, Farnham, Alton and Basingstoke and work with clients throughout Hampshire and the surrounding counties face-to-face, as well as those further afield via Zoom.
